Dye-Sublimation
Pictographics was one of the pioneers of digitally dying textiles. Since 1996 the Company has gone on to produce hundreds of thousands of square meters of this lovely product that has been utilized around the world. Today Pictographics can provide dye sublimation printing to a myriad of fabrics from opaque to sheer.
One of the most popular fabric products is indoor textile banners and tapestries. Customers welcomed this product as an alternative to the heavy, permanent wrinkle prone; light glaring, and general tackiness of vinyl banners. In addition Pictographics can produce backdrops, flags, upholstery, wall coverings, table skirts and drapes. Other digitally dyed products include gaming table felts, specialty garments, and costumes.
The sublimation process penetrates the color into textile with dye gases for an image that is unrivaled in color brilliance and accuracy, continuous tone, and depth of color Add to that the unmatched soft hand, drapablility, flow and elegance of textile and it’s popularity is easy to understand. All dye sub prints can be cleaned in a normal washing machine. Wrinkles can be removed with an iron or steamer. It is very durable.
Pictographics can provide photographic image quality with ultra wide gamut six-color printing at up to 1440 DPI. Print widths to 100” are possible without a seam and with sewn and tiled panels reaching any width. Print length is virtually limitless.
This year Pictographics has added a beautiful line of fabrics that are made from 100% post consumer waste AND are 100% recyclable. The fabric is woven from thread made from recycled plastic soda and water bottles. When the useful life of the imaged panel is over it can be returned to the mill in North Carolina where it will be used to make carpet padding. Pictographics also can make wonderful multipurpose bags out of end of life images made from fabric that is otherwise not recyclable.
